What is a Center of Excellence?

Centers of Excellence (COE) are colleges designated as statewide leaders for their industry. They specialized in workforce education and training for industries that help the state's economy grow, and they serve as points of contact and resource hubs for industry trends, best practices and innovative curriculum. There currently are twelve COEs spread across the state. For more information go to Centers of Excellence.

The Center of Excellence at Yakima Valley Community College was created for the health care industry.
