YVCC Salsa Band is a brand new performing ensemble that started in Spring 2006. This 15 piece ensemble has also had a chance to perform with artists: Jerry Gonzales, Memo Acevedo, Allan Molnar, Luis Perdemo and Miguel Zenon. The YVCC Salsa Band is also the featured ensemble for the 3rd Annual YVCC Latin Music Celebration, May 7-9, 2008. This years festival will feature Latin Jazz guest artists Memo Acevedo, Allan Molnar and Jim Seeley from New York. The YVCC Salsa Band will also be releasing their first CD Clavecide! of original student compositions in May 2008.
